Nose Poem, Weird and Melancholy
I wish I had a nose as large
As twenty-times my own,
To sniff the scent of flower tears
When meadows have been mown.
To smell out sorrow--empty nests,
Once baby birds have flown--
Or miracles, like maples growing
Where a seed was sown.
